The organized medical staff, pursuant to the medical staff bylaws, evaluates and acts on reported concerns regarding a privileged physician's or other licensed practitioner’s clinical practice and/or competence.

The hospital, based on recommendations by the organized medical staff and approval by the governing body, has a clearly defined process for collecting, investigating, and addressing clinical practice concerns. Note: Reported concerns regarding a privileged physician's or other licensed practitioner’s professional practice are uniformly investigated and addressed, as defined by the hospital and applicable law.
